Dennis Rosa
DENNIS ROSA's distinguished acting credits include two Obie Award-winning productions for the Chelsea Theatre Center, the inaugural production of Philadelphia's Annenberg Center, and The World of Gunter Grass, which he also authored. Mr. Rosa has directed for some of America's finest repertory companies from the St. Louis Hilton Repertory Company and The Cleveland Playhouse to the Nantucket Stage Company. It was at the latter where, in 1973, he first staged Dracula designed by Edward Gorey; later seen on Broadway from 1977-1980. In 1975, he directed Steven Tesich's Gorky at the American Place Theatre in New York. Outside of his work in the theatre, Mr. Rosa has been active in opera, staging productions for the Harlem Opera Company, the New York Music and Opera Workshop, the Caramoor Festival, the New Chamber Opera Society of Baltimore, Washington Opera Society and the San Francisco Opera. He is also the author of Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of the Sign of the Four, The Little Rascals, and Luv, a musical adaptation of the famed Murray Schisgal play. Mr. Rosa received a Tony Nomination for his direction of Dracula.
