MICHAEL J. CHEPIGA was twice an invited playwright at the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference and the recipient of a Julie Harris - Beverly Hills Theater Guild Playwrighting Award. His plays (including Getting Staten Island, All Honorable Men, Best Supporting Actor, Ubu/Jarry, The Meeting of the Creditors of J. Matthew Spengler) have been staged, read or developed at various places including The Old Globe Theatre, The Cricket, Florida Studio Theater, The St. Nicholas Theater, Alice's Fourth Floor and The Cherry Lane. Getting and Spending received the 1995 L. Arnold Weissberger Award and had its world premier at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in August of 1998. Mr. Chepiga is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
