Terry Teachout
TERRY TEACHOUT is the drama critic of The Wall Street Journal. His books include Pops: A Life of Louis Armstrong, All in the Dances: A Brief Life of George Balanchine, and A Terry Teachout Reader. He wrote the libretto for The Letter, an opera with music by Paul Moravec that was premiered by the Santa Fe Opera in 2009. His second collaboration with Moravec, Danse Russe, will be premiered by Philadelphia's Center City Opera Theater in April. He is currently at work on Mood Indigo, a biography of Duke Ellington, and Satchmo at the Waldorf, a one-man play about Louis Armstrong.
